I’m excited to welcome @AstarNetwork , the leading @Polkadot chain to Ethereum. They are going to launch a zkEVM chain using @0xPolygon CDK, an Ethereum L2 secured by ZK!

@AstarNetwork is the leading blockchain of Japan. After launch, it quickly became among the most notable para-chains in the Polkadot Ecosystem focusing on owning the Japan market. Japan, with a large Entertainment and Gaming ecosystem, has the potential to become one of the biggest hubs of Web3 in the world, especially with the most crypto friendly regulatory environment.

With Polygon CDK, Astar will be able to build a ZK-powered L2 with a trustless bridge straight to Ethereum. CDK offers Ethereum compatibility out-of-the-box, so Astar dApp developers can use existing Ethereum tools to build better solutions across the entire ecosystem.

Amazing to see Astar joining a growing number of CDK-deployed chains that will be part of a unified ecosystem on Polygon. Astar Network will expand to the Ethereum ecosystem by leveraging CDK’s best-in-class ZK proving implementation to contribute to the network effects of an expanding ecosystem.
