Shibuya has successfully undergone a major upgrade with the introduction of asynchronous backing. Now, we’re preparing to bring the same upgrade to Astar and Shiden.
🧑💻 Key changes for builders:
1️⃣ If your project relies on a block time of 12 seconds, prepare to adjust your logic for the upcoming 6-second block time.
2️⃣ This upgrade will not affect vesting, dApp staking, or other time-based mechanisms. These processes will adjust to the new block time automatically.

Keep an eye out for an upcoming proposal to upgrade Astar and Shiden with async backing. This upgrade will create a faster, more scalable network.
